We’re so proud to share that Jordan has been awarded a bursary from the NCTJ’s Journalism Diversity Fund (JDF)for 2025-26
Jordan successfully completed his Certificate in Foundation Journalism qualification with the Academy for Disabled Journalists (ADJ), where alongside his studies he also played an instrumental role in securing funding to help support the Academy’s work.
He writes passionately on community, culture, and crime stories and his journey so far has included completing a placement at The I Paper with published articles for the I Paper, Newsquest’s The Echo and MoneyMagpie among many.
From early experiences producing a school newsletter and studying Media BTECs, to freelancing and blogging, Jordan has consistently shown dedication to building his craft. Now, as he prepares to study the NCTJ Level 5 Diploma with PA Media Academy this September, he continues to overcome personal barriers while championing accurate, responsible, and inclusive journalism.
Jordan’s ambition to build trust with underrepresented groups and ensure their perspectives are heard is exactly what the industry needs.
We can’t wait to see what he achieves next!
