Success Stories

Academy students with disabilities such as Cerebral Palsy, Visual Impairments, hearing impairments, Chronic Respiratory Illness, and Spinal Muscular Atrophy have achieved remarkable success so far.

Many have secured prominent roles at leading organisations such as the BBC, ITV, Newsquest and the Kenyan Broadcasting Corporation.  We have students working as freelancers for The Guardian, Cosmopolitan, Radio Times, Lifestyle Magazine and many more publications.

We support our students through work experience placements and have recently had our student Lauren Lethbridge  represent Ability Today at the Paris Paralympics as an accredited journalist.

These successes highlight the transformative power of our programmes and the bright futures our students are building.

The Academy is thrilled to announce that Moses, one of our exceptional international students from Nairobi, Kenya has passed his CFJ qualification.  Passing this qualification is a significant achievement considering that all modules and assignments are based on the English curriculum.  Moses is now working as a journalist at the Kenyan Broadcasting Corporation and we extend our heartfelt congratulations to him and look forward to watching his career flourish.

Listen to Moses share in his own words what this accomplishment means to him.
