Woman with spina bifida grabbed by throat and punched in bar – Lincolnshire Live

A 30 year old who is transitioning sex attacked a woman with spina bifida who he thought had been denigrating him on social media.

Kyle Hook, who was born Kayleigh Jayne Hook, approached Amber Hardy, 26, in the Folly Bar in Boston on January 4 and shouted at her: ‘Why are you sending me pictures of my kids?’

Ms Hardy, whose spine is six inches shorter than it should be due to her condition, said she had no idea what Hook was talking about.

Hook then pushed her over and grabbed her by the throat, saying “I’ve been diagnosed with schizophrenia”.

He then punched her repeatedly in the face. Ms Hardy said she was unable to get Hook off her, as he was much stronger than she was.

Others pulled him off Ms Hardy, who was left with a cut lip and bump on the head, and he was arrested and charged with assault.
