A Bury St Edmunds woman who developed Lyme disease after she says she was bitten by a tick at a tourist hot-spot is calling for signage to warn others of the potential risk.
Emily Marsh fell ill after suffering a tick bite. She says it was during a visit to the Abbey Gardens rose garden in September’s heatwave.
She has since developed Lyme disease and faces a potential recovery time of three to four months – however she is disappointed by a council’s response to her call for warning signs.
