At just 12 years of age, Emily Harmsworth is taking on a huge challenge to raise awareness and money in memory of her little brother who sadly died.
Peter Harmsworth was just nine when he passed away in 2019 after he was diagnosed with an unknown type of leukodystrophy as a baby – a group of rare, progressive, metabolic, genetic diseases that affect the brain.
Emily had been itching to take part in fundraisers to support Ty Hafan – the child palliative care charity that cared for her beloved brother – ever since he passed away, but she was always too young to get involved.
