A top blind footballer feared she would fall in front of a speeding train after being left stranded with no help at a platform.
Samantha Gough, from Lasswade, Midlothian, was left traumatised after rail staff failed to show up to help her as she travelled down south for a competition.
The 20-year-old booked assistance before starting her journey in Edinburgh but was left stranded and terrified in Doncaster.
Her ordeal has prompted campaigners to call for assurances over support for disabled travellers as rail operators prepare to cut thousands of jobs.
