The 8-year-old with cerebral palsy who proves her disability is no barrier – Warrington Guardian

THIS picture of an eight-year-old girl on World Book Day proved extremely popular on our website.

But what readers may not know is that not all of Aya Al Rawi’s outfit was a costume.

The Grappenhall Heys Primary School pupil dressed as Carl from Disney’s Up on Thursday.

The popular Disney character uses a walking frame to get around.

But Aya’s walking frame is no prop – she needs it as she was diagnosed with cerebral palsy when she was born.

He mum Yussur said: “She is a real girly girl and always wears her princess dresses.
