A six-year-old girl with an incredibly rare neurological disorder who has spent her entire life in hospital has been finally allowed to go home.

Ana-Carolina de Moraes Lobo Bircham has been at Auckland’s Starship Hospital in New Zealand since she was five months old, when she was diagnosed with Guillain Barre syndrome.
