NHS urges people with autism and learning disabilities to come forward for coronavirus vaccination – Lincolnshire Live

NHS Lincolnshire Clinical Commissioning Group is encouraging people with autism and learning disabilities to get their coronavirus vaccination.

In support of World Autism Awareness Week, running this week from Monday, March 29 to to Sunday, April 4, Lincolnshire CCG is recognising how difficult the pandemic can be for autistic people and those with learning difficulties.

Sometimes referred to as a spectrum, or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), autism is a lifelong condition and although not a learning disability, roughly half of all autistic people may also have a learning disability.
