Team Domenica opens ‘Cafe Domenica’ – a friendly place for people with learning disabilities to gain confidence and a gentle introduction to work – Ability Today.

A charity which supports young people with learning difficulties has opened a new cafe to provide skills and opportunities to find employment.

Cafe Domenica, opened by Brighton-based Team Domenica, aims to provide essential training opportunities for those with learning disabilities, giving them a gentle introduction to work while building their confidence to prepare them for the working world.

Founder and chair of the charity Rosa Monckton said: “Young people with learning disabilities are marginalised in our society and Covid-19 has only emphasised this.
