Drivers who have any of 118 medical conditions should tell the DVLA – or they could be handed a hefty fine.
The DVLA lists the conditions that should be declared if you wish to avoid a hefty fine of up to £1,000 or a possible prosecution if an accident happens. The news comes as the licensing authority is due to update its guidance relating to eye conditions.
Last year the DVLA also amended the medical part of the application process to make it easier for people to declare any conditions they have reports The Daily Mirror. This included allowing specialist nurses and opticians to help fill out medical questionnaire’s for applicants, whereas previously only doctors were allowed to do so.
