ME Awareness Day: A Hitchin mum’s battle with an exhausting condition some don’t believe is real – Hertfordshire Mercury

We’ve all experienced those draining days when you’re desperate for some sleep to recharge.

By the next day, we feel back to normal and refreshed but it’s by no means the same story for everyone.

For some their daily lives are filled with chronic exhaustion – this is because they’re living with Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (M.E.) or Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (C.F.S.).

M.E. is a long-term (chronic), fluctuating, neurological condition that causes symptoms affecting many body systems, more commonly the nervous and immune systems.
