Leeds mum and children living with tumours all over their bodies that can grow at any time – Leeds Live

A Leeds mum has told how she and her two children live with an incurable condition that can cause tumours to grow at any time.

Mum-of-three Angela Hardgreaves, 44, of Leeds, and two of her children, suffer from Neurofibromatosis Type 1 (NF1) – a genetic condition that causes tumours that are usually benign to grow along the nerves.

The severity of the condition can vary considerably – for Angela, she has “around 50” visible tumours on her back which she says look like “acne”, but are completely “harmless” and she’s always been in good health.
