Our third annual Spring Lab is fast approaching and you can still book at the reduced Earlybird price!

Spring Lab: Part of the Process will give dance artists an insight into Stopgap's inclusive devising methods including blending, translation and movement generation over the course of 3 days. Each day will start with full company class with all of the Stopgap Dance Artists and the creative lab will be guided by Lucy Bennett (Artistic Director), Siobhan Hayes (Creative Learning Manager) and Laura Jones (Senior Dance Artist)

Dates: Tues 29, Wed 30 & Thu 31 March, 10am-5pm
At: University of Surrey, Guildford
Earlybird rate: £150 (if booked by 4 March)

The 3 day intensive has been growing in popularity each year since its inception in 2014! If you are interested in attending then email Lily Norton on intern@stopgapdance.com. More information can be found here.

BBC video feature

One of Stopgap's dance artists, Hannah Sampson, was the feature of a video by the BBC last week. Hannah has been training with Stopgap for many years as a dance artist and teacher.

Hannah is part of Stopgap's collaboration with Casson & Friends which is currently touring UK venues. Night at the Theatre is a mixture of dance theatre and imaginative storytelling to spark the imagination of children and their grown ups!

Recruiting for a paid Intern

We have an exciting opportunity to join the Stopgap team for 6 months as an Intern (paid)! To apply you must be aged 18 - 24 and currently claiming Job Seeker's Allowance (due to the role being part funded by the kind support of the Creative Employment Programme).

To find out more about the role and how you can apply please click here or email Joy St Denis on admin@stopgapdance.com
