Irvine lad with Asperger’s syndrome Judo champion for third time – Irvine Times

An Irvine lad has once again been crowned Judo champion after winning gold for the third time.

Ross Carswell, who has Asperger’s syndrome, once again won gold at the Special Needs British Open Championships on Saturday August 26.

The Irvine Judo Club member – who also starts studying Broadcast Production at university this week – said he was delighted to win once again.

Ross said: “It’s my third British gold. I’ve been doing judo for as long as I can remember. Probably over 10 years now.
