One of Scotland’s youngest MPs Amy Callaghan has described suffering a stroke as the “biggest ever battle” she has faced.

The 28-year-old endured two emergency brain surgeries and had to learn to walk again but says the experience has made her more determined than ever to protect the NHS.

The SNP MP, who defeated Lib Dem leader Jo Swinson at the last election, said: “This is the biggest battle I have ever faced but now I can get through anything life throws at me.”
