You might have heard of motor neurone disease, but the statistics behind it are much less well known: a third of people diagnosed die within a year, more than half within two years and there’s currently no cure. One in 300 people will develop MND in their lifetimes: but how many of us really know what it looks like to live with it?
To mark Global Motor Neurone Disease Awareness Day on 21 June, Jess Journo has made a short film looking at how the disease touched her life: a dear friend of hers lost her life to it. The project has been supported with the voices of performers from West End shows and production houses editors, composers, producers, DOPs and grading houses have all offered up their time and space to help complete the project.
