A young boy who uses electric gadgets to communicate with his family has been left heartbroken – after burglars stole them.
Six-year-old George Cosby doesn’t speak and has severe special needs.
His family home in Burnage was filled with specialised items which helped him communicate with his family – including a inflatable hot tub which he adored.
However, his family have returned home from holiday to find the house almost completley stripped by burglars and leaving George bereft of his lifelines to the world.
His mum Stacey says her son loves water and bubbles and adores spending time splashing and playing in the family’s 8ft-wide hot tub, which was funded through a disability grant.
Stacey, her husband Mark and their children George and Isabel, 14, returned home to Burnage from a family trip to the seaside at Lytham St Annes to find their home on Errwood Drive had been broken into.
The burglars – branded ‘low life scum’ by Stacey – ransacked every room in the house including George’s and also took vital iPads and electronic equipment he uses to communicate.
