Fears the coronavirus pandemic has ‘damaged’ job prospects of disabled people – ITV News

Nine charities have written to the UK Government asking for more help in getting people with disabilities into work.

 
There are fears about the damage to the job prospects of disabled people as a result of the pandemic. According to disability charities, there are 23,000 disabled young people in Wales.

In a joint letter to UK Government ministers, nine disability organisations led by the National Deaf Children’s Society has asked for changes to the government’s Plan for Jobs to avoid a ‘looming employment crisis’ among disabled young people aged 16-25.
