Family want answers in death of cerebral palsy boy who fell unconscious after getting off school bus – Daily Mail

The family of an 18-year-old Florida high school student with cerebral palsy are calling for answers after he was fell unconscious shortly after getting off a school bus on Tuesday and later died.

Relatives said J.J Benjamin, who used a wheelchair, was hunched over with swollen hands after he got off the school bus from Tohopekaliga High School in Kissimmee.

‘His hands were swollen. I immediately looked at him and he was slanted over the chair. He just looked, like, dead weight basically,’ J.J.’s sister Zena told Click Orlando.

Zena said he was dropped off after school in bad shape, and the family are wondering whether something happened to him on the bus.

‘His face was down, his tongue was out his mouth,’ she said.

Osceola County sheriff’s spokesman Jacob Ruiz said the cause of death remains under investigation, but added that it did not appear suspicious.
