Drivers could face a hefty fine if they fail to declare a number of health conditions. The DVLA is warning drivers of potential consequences for not informing it of certain conditions, following a recent change to the process in a bid to make it easier for motorists.

The agency says there are 112 conditions you are required to declare. If you fail to do so, you could be fined up to £1,000, or be forced to surrender your licence - either temporarily or permanently.

In the event that an undeclared condition leads to an accident, you could be prosecuted. However, following a change to the process of declaring conditions, it should now be easier and faster to inform the DVLA of anything they need to know.
