Dorset adults with learning disabilities on living independently – Dorset Echo

Emily and William

Hi readers, it’s Emily and William here again, writing our last article for now about moving out of the family home, following on from the last two weeks.

We got thinking about the not so good things about living on your own.

I, Emily wondered if William ever gets lonely? No, I don’t Emily. I’ve got my TV, Ipad and phone so it’s easy to connect with my friends on facebook and my parents. The hardest thing is definitely washing my clothes – not my favourite job!

It got me Emily wondering how we will share the washing machine in our new home. Will the girls use it one day, and the boys the other I wonder? All these things to think about but I know we will be able to sort them easily.
