Co Down woman pens children’s book about epilepsy to help kids understand seizures – Belfast Live

Co Down woman Aisling Clarke has been living with epilepsy since she was 11, but it wasn’t until her first nephew was born four years ago she began to think about the impact it might have on him.

The 29-year-old started to wonder how her nephews would react if they ever witnessed her take a seizure, would it scare them because they don’t understand what is happening?

It was that thought that prompted Aisling to put pen to paper, and write a children’s book to help the younger generation better understand her illness.
