Charity is looking for ‘gig buddies’ to help people with learning disabilities – Edinburgh Live

Do you want to share your love of music with people who don’t have the opportunity to get out and see gigs?

A charity is looking for “sound people” who can fill a very specific role for people with learning disabilities.

They need “gig buddies” who can accompany them to to music acts based on shared interests.

The Thera Trust say volunteers can work one-on-one with their buddies, helping them choose the gig and arrange any transport.

It doesn’t necessarily have to be a music show, as long as you share an interest.
