Matt Stratman will grace the field at Lakota West High School one last time on Thursday, July 5. The 15-year-old who fell into a coma after playing lacrosse on the field June 9 died June 30.
His Celebration of Life is at 7 p.m. Thursday in the main gym at Lakota West. Afterward, Stratman will be moved for a final walk on the turf he competed on in lacrosse and football. Funeral services Friday, July 6 are private.

Stratman had a previously undiagnosed condition involving an AVM (arteriovenous malformation). An AVM involves abnormal blood vessels connecting arteries and veins in the brain. It affects less than one percent of the population and those afflicted are born with them.
