A café in Headingley which gives training and employment to young adults with Down Syndrome is offering advice to other businesses in Leeds about how they can accommodate staff with learning disabilties.

Down Syndrome charity Sunshines & Smiles opened the doors to Café 21 at the start of 2019 and has since seen a wave of plaudits from across the country.

Just two months after opening, the café is inviting businesses in Leeds to learn how they can follow similar methods at a special event planned for World Down Syndrome Day.

Café 21 will extend its opening hours today (Thursday), allowing business owners to drop by any time between 8:30am and 5pm for advice and support.
