A South London woman found out she had a progressive neurological condition, after she spotted ‘something strange’ in photos taken of her during a London marathon race. Kathy French, 73, from Bromley, was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2018 after she noticed her arms and legs felt and looked “peculiar”.
She told MyLondon: “A few days after the London Marathon, I was looking through some pictures that were taken along the route at London Bridge and I spotted something strange. My shoulders appeared uneven and my left arm was significantly lower than the other. Shortly after this I began to experience mild tremors in my legs and arms.”
