A footballer has gained a huge social media following after sharing the realities of being blind with his 200,000 followers. Toby Addison, 22, has become a TikTok sensation with his hit comedic and frank videos about his life.
Toby, who posts as blindtobes, plays for West Bromwich Albion. In one video he jokes about the bumps and knocks he’s suffered due to his blindness and in another he reveals the time he was rejected during a job interview because of his disability.
London-born Toby was visually impaired before his sight began to deteriorate further in his teens. He is now legally blind. He said: “When I was younger life was pretty normal and my sight allowed me to read, write and play football like any other kid.
