A boy who suffered a brain injury after he was trapped underneath a car and has been presented with a “life-changing” £7,500 powered wheelchair.
Dylan Elliott was rushed to Queen’s Medical Centre in a critical condition following the incident in 2015.
He suffered severe injuries that have had a lasting impact on his verbal communication and mobility in all four limbs.
The 14-year-old from Hucknall has made significant progress since the incident but has been forced to rely on his teachers and friends at Holgate Academy to help push his basic wheelchair, due to his lack of mobility.
The new powered wheelchair was presented by Chips, a casino and gaming industry charity, at Alea Casino in the city centre on Wednesday, December 5.
